Khatereh Zabihi ( RPQ)
Before specializing in couples therapy, I spent over 15 years working one-on-one with individuals navigating life’s most complex emotional and psychological challenges. This foundation is essential because to truly support couples, a therapist must first understand the individuals within the relationship.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. I am also certified in all three levels of the Gottman Method one of the most respected, evidence-based approaches to helping couples strengthen their connection.
For the past five years, I’ve focused deeply on working with couples, guiding them through communication breakdowns, emotional disconnection, trust issues, and more.
But my expertise doesn’t stop there. My clinical background spans a wide range of issues, including:
-
Anxiety and stress,
-
depression and mood disorders,
-
trauma and attachment wounds,
-
self-esteem and identity development,
-
grief and loss,
-
life transitions and adjustment,
-
burnout and emotional exhaustion,
-
parenting and family dynamics,
-
cross-cultural issues immigration-related challenges.
This breadth of experience allows me to see the full picture because relationship struggles rarely exist in a vacuum. I create a safe, supportive space where both individuals and couples can be seen, heard, and understood.
Every session is personalized, purposeful, and grounded in research-based strategies. Whether you’re seeking reconnection, clarity, or healing, I’m here to help you take that next step forward together.
